Type of shots


High angle



The high-angle shot is a type of camera shot taked when the camera is placed above a subject with the lens pointing down. This type of shot is normally used to make the subject appear small and vulnerable causing impact and emotion, in this photo we can see how this angle makes the people shorter but in that case he is smiling and don't look vunerable at all.


Low angle

A low-angle shot is a shot from a camera angle positioned below the eye line, pointing upward. It can even be below the character’s feet which is called an extreme low angle shot.powerful, dominant or strong. At this photo we can see that this angle make the buildings look bigger giving its more importance. 



Slanted angle

Slanted angle, also known as dutch angle, canted angle or oblique angle is a camera shot which the camera angle is deliberately slanted to one side. The intention of this angle here is dramatic and tries to hype the people with the concept of the album.


Eye level shot

An Eye Level shot is a type of shot taken as though it is a human actually observing a scene, actors’ heads are on a level with the focus, is considered the most ‘common view’  as it shows the subject as we would expect to see them in real life. At this photo we can see Jisung as if we look at him with "a common view"




Aerial shot:

Aerial shot, also known as god eye view shot,bird eye view shot... is taken from an elevated point like in this image a dron (which is a normally resource of it) and it was used for a MV for view that the dance's place is unusual and powering the dance.




Close up shot

Close up shot is taken from at close range showing greater details becoming a more detailed study. It has diferent types as medium close up, Close up, extreme close up, lean-in, lean-out or lean. The intention here is having more detail of Jungkook's face and view diferent types of angles on his face,it is ffrom an MV and later it do more changes of camera shot. 



Long shot
Long shot, also referred to as a “wide shot” or “full shot”, is taken showing the entire subject, and is usually intended to put the object or person in some relation to the surroundings. At this shots is clearly seen the whole place where the character is taking the action and this helps you to to be able to see and understand better the place where the scene is located and its conditions.



Medium shot

An MS (medium shot), also refered to as waist shot, is a type of shot which is captured at a medium distance from the subject. It's used for dialogue scenes, depict body language and more of the setting. The medium shot is useful for movement, and comedic performances where we need to see the body language of a character. It shows important actions and costumes, glue together separate shots and present  disarming, comedic and informal visuals. At this photo we can see that this angle make the visuals look more naturally and gives attention to the character expression.




Two shot

two shot is a type of shot which gives you a view of the two subjects doing the action. The subjects don't have to be next to each other, many of them  have one subject in the foreground and the other subject in the background and it's used to show the emotional reactions between the subjects (normally romance, tension and action scenes). At this photo we can see how Sana is showing her love to jeongyeon in a romantic scene.
